Cooper Foster
Position(s): Center Realistic Potential Rating (1-10): 3.5D Draft Year: 2023

Fantasy Summary

A smaller but elusive playmaker with an intense and high motor. Deceptive skill with middle six upside

Observations

June 2025 – The Pittsburgh Penguins did not sign Foster to an entry-level contract as of June 1, 2025. He is an unrestricted free agent. Mark Henry

March 2024 – Foster in his draft year was playing in a middle six role in the OHL with the Ottawa 67s. This season he got a bump up to the top six and the top line. This increase in playing time helped show why the Penguins believed in him. Foster is an undersized center with solid speed and good fluidity to his skating. Likely Foster’s best quality as a player is his vision. In live viewings of him this season Foster on multiple occasions was able to find a tight window to fit dangerous passes through. As he gets closer to pro hockey he will have to improve his speed, shot and ability to get to dangerous areas when off the puck. One more year in junior will be a big test to see where his potential NHL future will be. Tyler Ball
