2025-26 Dallas Stars Team Awards

2026-06-30

Most Valuable Player: Jesper Bratt
In a close battle, Jesper Bratt edges out Nikita Kucherov with a 28 goal, 70 point campaign that saw him drive impact in all facets of the game. His 5 PP Goals and 15 PP Points led the team, he finished fourth on the team with 130 Hits against just 78 Taken. He led all skaters with 5 First Star wins after scoring 4 Game Winning Goals. He finished a +5 with just 4 PIM and often was the driver behind the Stars’ best lines throughout the year.

Top Goalie: Ilya Sorokin
For the fourth consecutive season, Ilya Sorokin is the no-doubt top goaltender on the Dallas Stars. He won 36 of 66 games for the Stars, with a .0915 Save Percentage driving a healthy 2.38 GAA. He was also named the game’s First Star a team-leading 10 times, twice as much as second place.

Top Defenseman: Mikhail Sergachev
When the Dallas Stars made the hard decision in the offseason to trade William Nylander, they did so knowing they needed to land a #1 defenseman. In his first season, Mikhail Sergachev delivered on that promise. He led all skaters on the team in TOI/G, PP TOI/G, SH TOI/G, and Takeaways. He also set himself apart on the blueline with 29 Points, 94 Blocked Shots, and just 2 PIM.

Rookie of the Year: Dmitri Voronkov
Despite already winning the Rookie of the Year last season, the award goes to Dmitri Voronkov again as a continued recognition. And definitely not because there weren’t any actual rookies eligible on the pro roster. Voronkov built on his great rookie campaign by jumping from 27 to 29 points, 12 G to 14 G, and controversially 16 PIM to 31 PIM with half of those coming in an absolute meltdown game for the young forward. He’ll look to build on his 12:30 TOI/G going into next year.

Top Point Scorer: Nikita Kucherov (73)
Although he missed out on repeating as team MVP, Nikita Kucherov nearly got it with a team-leading 73 Points. He scored 27 Goals to go with 46 Assists, and is scheduled to be a UFA this offseason.

Top Goal Scorer: Kirill Kaprizov / Jesper Bratt (28)
Although the sim may give this exclusively to Kirill Kaprizov, the Top Goal Scorer finished with a tie between Kaprizov and Team MVP Jesper Bratt. Surprisingly, all but 2 of Kaprizov’s Goals came at even strength despite being nearly the team leader in power play time per game.

Top Defensive Forward: Pius Suter
After coming over from the New York Islanders near the deadline in 2024-25, Suter settled in as a defensive stud for the Dallas Stars. He led all Forwards in SH TOI/G and helped tilt the ice in Dallas’ favor any time he was playing.

Qualities of Perseverance and Sportsmanship: Chris Tanev
Although he didn’t join the team until midseason, the Dallas Stars want to honor Chris Tanev. He’s persevered through recent injuries, including multiple concussions. He filled a huge hole of stay at home defenseman for the Stars during their stretch run and seven game playoff series with Los Angeles.

Player who Displays Gentlemanly Conduct: Kirill Kaprizov
The Stars had plenty of gentlemen to choose from, but Kirill Kaprizov is the most manly of them all. He took just one minor penalty throughout his 19:27 nightly ice time over 82 games.
