Hawks 20 Game Recap

2023-11-29

The Chicago Blackhawks have been a surprise team to start the year in the RHL.  Through 20 games the club holds a 12-5-3 Record, sits 2nd in a tight division with 27 points, only 1 point behind 1st place in the Division.

The Club started the year thinking It was gonna be a rebuild year, but at this pace they look like a playoff team and Jack Campbell has been playing lights out in net for the hawks.  The team and Campbell will be looking to keep the momentum going in the next 20 games.

The Club has aquired Ryan Lindgren from the Kraken in early november, and he has done a great job, in completing our top 4 D spot.  Lindgren is signed up for 8 years and looks to hold a spot in chicago for a long time.  Hes got 13 points and a + 18 on the season, and in 9 games with the hawks he has 7 points and a + 6.  Lindgrens + 18 rating is good for 3rd overall in the league.

Jack Campbell has been the biggest surprise of the year.  He holds a 10-2-3 Record with a 1.98 G.A.A. and a .927 Save Percentage.  He's got 11 Star Ratings and a big reason why this club is off to a great start.

Tommy Novak, Kane, and Hayton have shown great chemistry on the 1st line.  Novak leads the team with 13 goals and 24 points.  Novak right now is currently only 2 goals behind in the Goal Scoring Race. While Kane and Hayton have 17 and 16 points for the hawks.

The Hakws PK is off to a great start and is sitting 2nd overall at 92%, while the PP is at 14th overall at 21%.

"We started the year tinkering with our 2nd and 3rd lines a little bit, changed some players around.  Moved strome to play 2nd Line Center and that seemed to have worked well with the club.  Since then the team is doing well and we haven't messed with the lines that much.  If our team keeps playing well, who knows, the hawks could be buyers at the trade deadline, something I wans't expecting before the year started."  Says Schurman
