Last week saw the arrival in San Jose of a group of highly intriguing russian prospects. The Sharks under GM BRRR have a recent history of largely favoring North American prospects in the entry drafts. With those new acquisition, GM BRRR takes the chance to buy low on some great looking prospects that will join 2 russian comrades in the upcoming Sharks rookie development camp.

Artur Akhtyamov, a goaltending prospect, has shown tremendous potential between the pipes. With quick reflexes and sound positioning, he has the ability to make crucial saves in pressure situations. Akhtyamov's mental toughness and ability to remain composed under pressure make him an intriguing prospect for the San Jose Sharks organization. As he continues to hone his skills, he could emerge as a reliable netminder for the team in the future.

2022-2023 team : AHL - Toronto Marlies

Dmitri Ovchinnikov, a skilled forward, possesses excellent playmaking ability and exceptional vision on the ice. His ability to set up scoring opportunities for his teammates is a testament to his hockey IQ and creativity. Ovchinnikov also has a knack for finding the back of the net himself, with a quick release and accurate shot. Nikolai Kovalenko, the son of former NHL player Andrei Kovalenko, brings a strong pedigree and high skill level to the ice. A strong skater with good offensive instincts, Kovalenko isn't afraid to battle for pucks in the corners. His combination of skill, competitiveness, and hockey lineage make him an intriguing prospect for the San Jose Sharks. If he continues to progress, Kovalenko could become a valuable asset at the NHL level and follow in his father's footsteps.
