Last week saw the arrival in San Jose of a group of highly intriguing russian prospects. The Sharks under GM BRRR have a recent history of largely favoring North American prospects in the entry drafts. Akhtyamov's mental toughness and ability to remain composed under pressure make him an intriguing prospect for the San Jose Sharks organization. As he continues to hone his skills, he could emerge as a reliable netminder for the team in the future.

Nikolai Kovalenko, the son of former NHL player Andrei Kovalenko, brings a strong pedigree and high skill level to the ice. A strong skater with good offensive instincts, Kovalenko isn't afraid to battle for pucks in the corners. His combination of skill, competitiveness, and hockey lineage make him an intriguing prospect for the San Jose Sharks.
