The Best 2026 Draftees

VideoJ’s Yearly Assessment of who to Draft:

#17 - Brody Pepoy – Because I thought it said Popeye. I’d imagine Popeye the sailerman would be a dynamite goon to have on any team.

#16 Jaxon Cover- Take cover when Jacks in. And he is from the Cayman Islands, which is where I believe more hockey players should begin their careers.

#15  Arvid Bäck- It’s fitting that someone named back is a defenseman. And as a big Arvidsson fan, this guy would be a great fit to play with his “son.

#14 Gleb Pugachyov – Should be drafted to Ottawa so that he can spend time in the Glebe as often as possible!

#13 Rudolfs Berzkalns – Not only a hard nosed skater, he’s a red-nosed player!

#12 Daxon Rudolph – He’s fightering Berzkalns to guide the sleigh. Hopefully they go to the same team.

#11 Jonas Lagerberg Hoen- I’m a lager man. Way better than Pilsner.

#10 Indiana Grossbard – Really wish his last name was grossbeard. Which should have been Brent Burns’s last name. Or Jones. If his last name was Jones, he would definitely be a first round pick. Not necessarily talent. But picked there anyway by me at least.

#9- Ryder Cali- Actually was supposed to be the 2nd round pick of GM VideoJ. He completely forgot and is torn up about it.

#8 Hunter Aura- Pretty straightforward.

# 7 Hawke Huff – Anyone with the name Hawke must have awesome vision. And if he doesn’t get his way, he can always huff and puff and blow the place down.

#6 Markus and Liam Ruck- Any name that rhymes with F*** is excellent in any capacity. Hands don’t awesome. And Markus Ruck is a Duck!

#5 Stephen King – The last name King alone is cool. Add in the first name Stephen? And it’s a downright terrifying name.

#4 Simas Ignatavicius – An Actual target of the ducks that unfortunately was sniped just barely earlier before the Ducks picked.  (Causing them to panick and draft Alessandro Di Iorio.)

#3 Alexander Command– Another actual draft target due to preliminary confused AI draft research, had GM VideoJ assuming he would successfully draft Alexander, and yet he was disappointed.

#2 Aiden Across the Mountain – This year had an intense battle in the top two and honestly GM VideoJ will be ecstatic to get any of them. The sheer fact that his name is an entire phrase, and the curiosity of what his jersey would look like, alone, warrants a first round pick on this undrafted talent.

#1 Viggo Björck – As an Aragorn, son of Arathorn doppelgänger, as well as nicknamed J-Roc, how could this not be the best name ever? With no pick even remotely close to the top ten, GM VideoJ knew he was out of reach, but hopefully GM Souche with offer him up at some point.
